What’s happening at East Potomac Park? According to the NY Times, the White House has begun dumping thousands of truckloads of East Wing rubble on the site to transform the 'people’s course' into an elite luxury destination. Between the loss of public access and the potential destruction of historic cherry blossoms, the project is being called a 'shameless theft' of D.C. public space - all done without a single public hearing.
