The Future

Welcome to Camas Prairie Park!

The non-profit Friends of Camas Prairie Park (formerly the Port Townsend Golf Park) was formed not only to save this historic green space from closure but to unlock its full potential for a community that has been recreationally underserved for decades.

Along with the restoration and continued operation of our 9-hole course, we are thrilled to share the big changes already taking root in the park:

  • Coyote and Crow Restaurant: Our new dining anchor is open! Stop by for a meal and enjoy the refreshed atmosphere of the park hub.

  • 18-Hole Disc Golf: Now fully operational, providing a premier challenge for disc golfers of all skill levels.

  • Walking Trails: The new perimeter and internal walking trails are open, offering a safe and scenic way to explore the grounds on foot.

  • Community Open Space: We have established dedicated non-golf times where families can picnic, run, or simply wander the open prairie.

Looking Ahead

While we celebrate these milestones, our vision continues to grow. We are currently in the planning and fundraising stages for the next phase of park improvements:

  • Playground & Miniature Putting Green: Designed to make the park a true multi-generational destination.

  • Prairie Restoration: We are continuing the long-term work of establishing native plants and the namesake camas prairie.

  • Capital Improvements: Future goals include a covered driving range and further expansion of the Welcome Center.

We’ll get there with your help. In the meantime, you can support the park by volunteering, donating, or simply coming out to play.
