Camas Prairie Park

Camas Prairie Park in Port Townsend WA is a 58 acre multi-use recreational facility featuring a historic 121 year-old, 9 hole golf course, 18 basket disc golf course, driving range, pro shop, event venue, and food and beverage service at the Coyote & Crow Cafe.  It is the home of  the Kah Tai Preserve, one of the last remaining remnants of the ancient Camas prairies that once were prevalent on the Olympic Peninsula and provided habitat as well as food for local tribes.

Operated by the non-profit Friends of the Port Townsend Golf Park, future plans include walking trails, playground, interpretive center, and a mini-putting course.

We are open daily from 8:00 am until dusk with the exception of of the first Sunday of the month when we are open for traditional golf until noon and walking, picnicking, games and special events in the afternoon.

Camas Prairie Park has come alive since we reopened operations on January 1, 2024. In the last 18 months the 58-acre site has welcomed more people, broadened community access and programming, and inspired new life in the clubhouse and restaurant. Revenues are up nearly 25% over 2024, and the City of Port Townsend has extended our lease for 20 years—important milestones that show this place matters to our community. Even with this progress, the Friends of the Golf Park still need community support to be financially sustainable for the next couple of years. Ongoing donations are key to sustaining park operations now and unlocking larger major-donor investments that provide future community improvements and benefits for everyone.
